With a huge year ahead in conventions and expos, the year kicked off with The Gaming Expo in Melbourne on March 14th. This is an Expo that is growing every year, and this year was no exception, being even bigger than in 2025.

If you love gaming in any form, this one is for you. Whether it be console, PC, TCG, TableTop Gaming, or anything vintage, then this one is for you. It was an amazing weekend exploring all that is gaming, from Indie Games right through to top Board Games.

Whenever I cover these conventions, I always find myself spending a lot of time in the Indie Games areas. The term "Indie Game", or independent game, is a video game developed by individuals or small teams, typically without the financial support or creative oversight of a major publishing company. These areas are always extremely busy, and I have always found that they showcase some amazing talent in this industry, talent fueled by a great passion for the gaming industry.
